gone cheeseing

The theme this time is "Mouse". Coming up with a good idea for a theme is pretty challenging for me. I was kinda circling around the idea of a pilot mouse riding a shoe-like car contraption but I just can't seem to bring the idea to life. I finally stumbled on the idea of having the mouse lounging at his quarters.

When the cat is around, the mouse is here.

It may be kinda frustrating of having to draw an idea only to not draw it as you have thought of it. I wasn't happy on how it came out.

And here comes the fun part! I dug up the colored markers I had for almost 11 years and it still works fine! I though I'd try it out on a different sketch.

I tried smudging some pencil on the background but I don't think it helped. I was also bothered by the size of the mouse. I think it started to look like a rat. Well, I finally stuck to what I am comfortable in using - pens and colored pencils.

No, that isn't mouse poop..

But isn't it fun to try something you are not sure of? It could end up either good or bad but hey, a little adventure could sometimes be rewarding.
