Yes!! I finally get to paint an adventure for Elroy and Cassidy. I thought of these two characters way back in 2014 (I think). I didn't have a clear concept back then so that I just left them to themselves for a few years. I must say their appearance right now is very much different from the original idea. I hope to paint more stories about them soon.
I haven't painted something this big in a while. I paid much more attention to the whole picture while working on this piece. I often neglect the background so this was a challenge and an excuse to paint lots of signs (weathered signs are the best!).
Speaking of signs, I struggle a lot with shadows and stuff so I ended up having to reference them from life.
I just really enjoy the ghost town concept very much. Spirited Away is one of my favorite films and is such a huge influence to me.

I wish I could draw this way again -- like in a care-free manner or something.
