Burn 'em up!

Here's the screenshot from the original scene.

Haven't done this kind of painting in a while. I'm not really fond of doing portraits but this was rather fun to paint. The colors are very vibrant, which I don't usually do and the lighting in this scene was pretty interesting to me.

I didn't use the color picker on the original image. I don't remember the reason for doing this but it did make me pay more attention to the colors and how they reflect and that sort of stuff. Well, that or I was just too busy finding the closest match to the color. Either way, I think I learned something.

Also, I forgot to turn up my screen brightness while using Dodge so that the colors are too bright or it could just be me cause I have a tendency to avoid strong contrast (I feel like most of my works lack contrast though). But then again, it is Starfire so I guess too much brightness shouldn't be a problem.
