Sketchwork: Slootheroo and company

The slootheroo picked up some friends along the way.

So, I decided to draw more creatures to accompany our friend. Wasn't planning to add a background but I thought it would be extra fun.

In painting the background, I did it like I would when using watercolor pencils: Blobs of paint first, blocking in shapes, followed by linework. I'm not too fond of the outcome but it was fun to try something new.

Also! I don't think I am enjoying not putting variation to the line weight for the lineart. I think the result looks interesting but it's not really to my liking.
