Sketchwork: Fowling around

These past few weeks, I spent my time getting back to drawing and managed to get a few creature sketches done, two of which are rooster-inspired.

The rest of the week though, was spent on gesture drawing.

Here's some of my first few attempts. These aren't timed at all but I think I spent a minute or so on each of the sketches.

When I tried doing each sketch for 30 seconds, this is what happened:

Being aware of the time limit, I felt like being chased by a horde of space mice. I think I got the hang of it after more practice but the sketches are still stiff.

Here's an attempt of a creature with some of the gestures put into it. It looks weird.
