Back to fundamentals, crumbling at zero

For the past months, I'v been trying out various techniques and concepts. It just hit me that I haven't really spent time in learning the fundametals.

I remember starting out with Ctrl+Paint's video's but I got sidetracked somewhere along the series. I'm not sure where I am at now so it's best to get back to the basics.

I'm finding it rather difficult to draw while having to consider all these rules. Just shows how much practice I lack.
