Practice: Colors, poses and looking far far away

Some sketches I made for the past weeks.

Not exactly sure what my goal was with this first one. I just focused on copying the original photo without using the color picker. I wasn't able to match the colors exactly especially with the trees. The trees were difficult to do but I learned some stuff from painting it.

Starting out by blocking in the shapes as opposed to using line drawings seems to work better for me.

Here's another attempt at painting. I focused much harder in picking a closer match of the colors this time.

The painting turned out differently because I thought of Seol-a and No-rae going to the beach or something...

As much as I don't like how this last one turned out, this painting made me interested in looking up different outfits.

Definitely not beachwear.

It was fun to search what the back of coats look like but I did not realize that the coat itself doesn't seem appropriate for the beach. I definitely need to learn more about fashion.
